Method
- Sauté Shrimp: Season shrimp with paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sauté in olive oil for 2 mins per side. Add half the fresh garlic in the last 30 seconds. Set aside.
- Make Butter: Mix softened butter, remaining garlic, and parsley.
- Assemble: Butter the outside of each slice. Layer cheese, shrimp, and more cheese on the inside.
- Grill: Cook in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 mins per side until golden.
- Serve: Let rest 1 minute, slice diagonally, and enjoy!
Notes
- Shrimp Size: Medium (31-40 count) or Large (21-25 count) work best for even layering.
- Bread Tip: If using sourdough, ensure it is sliced at least 3/4 inch thick to prevent the cheese from soaking through.
- Make it Healthy: To reduce fat, use a thin brush of extra virgin olive oil on the outside of the bread instead of the garlic butter spread.
