Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a large rimmed baking sheet on the middle rack while heating.
- Heat 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until browned.
- Add minced garlic to the beef during the last 60 seconds of cooking, tossing until fragrant. Transfer meat to a plate using a slotted spoon.
- Add baby spinach to the remaining garlic drippings in the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until tender and wilted, then remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, season ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and a light drizzle of olive oil.
- Brush remaining olive oil over top surfaces of bare naan flatbreads.
- Layer flatbreads evenly: shredded mozzarella base, wilted garlic spinach, browned ground beef, and dollops of seasoned ricotta.
- Carefully place loaded flatbreads onto the preheated baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until naan edges are golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and immediately top with fresh basil ribbons and crushed red pepper flakes. Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crunch, pre-toast bare naan directly on the oven rack for 2 minutes per side before topping.
