Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven broiler to HIGH. Lightly coat a rimmed baking sheet or cast-iron sizzler pan with extra virgin olive oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, reduced-sodium tamari, and honey until completely smooth and lump-free. Stir in the sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger until uniform.
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels and arrange skin-side down on the prepared baking pan.
- Brush half of the prepared glaze generously over the top and sides of each fillet.
- Broil for 4 minutes roughly 5-6 inches below the top heat element.
- Remove the pan, spoon the remaining thick glaze over each fillet, and return to the broiler for another 3-4 minutes until bubbling, caramelized, and charred on the edges.
- Rest for 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle generously with fresh chives and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately with fresh lime wedges.
Notes
- Ensure salmon is pat completely dry before glazing to ensure proper caramelization.
- For a gluten-free version, ensure your sweet chili sauce is certified gluten-free and use tamari.
- Do not leave the broiler unattended during the final 3 minutes as sugar in honey can burn quickly.
